Knitted spacer fabric (also called 3D or knitted mesh) is an innovative product that provides high air permeability and minimal water and moisture absorption. Due to its advantages, knitted spacer fabric is gaining in popularity in many applications.

The main problem in the use of highdistance spacer fabric are the rough edges, which result from cutting the fabric. When cutting with the traditional methods, the monofilament filling yarn is cut loose and results in prickly needles at each side of the fabric.
The use of modern machinery allows the creation of knitted spacer to meet the requirements of customer. In this case, each edge is protected and made to the required shape during the knitting process. The technology enables the creation of rectangular shapes (or even slightly bent designs), with the lack of filling yarn in the indicated places.
